Jaguar have chosen to unveil the Jaguar F-Type SVR Coupe and Convertible at the Geneva Motor Show 2016. The hardcore sportscars have been eagerly awaited. We were fortunate enough to catch a whiff of leaked photos a month ago. Official details were recently confirmed and the F-Type SVR looks set to become the fastest Jaguar ever! We took a closer look at the Geneva Motor Show 2016 show cars.
The Jaguar F-Type SVR Coupe and Convertible get a joint unveil. The iconic Jaguar F-Type gets aerodynamic, power and dynamic upgrades which will set the SVR apart from the current range topping variants. It will go on sale in time for the summer with a limited production run of 250 units.
The 5.0-liter supercharged V8 gets a power increase of 25 hp over the F-Type R Coupe for a total of 575 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The Jaguar F-Type SVR will manage a zero to 100 km/h sprint of just 3.7 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds faster that the previous range topper.
Other mechanical changes include carbon ceramic brakes which have now been made standard. They save 21 kg of weight. A new lightweight titanium exhaust saves 12 kg and forged aluminium wheels save a further 10 kg. The F-Type SVR is set to make some substantial weight loss.
The Jaguar F-Type SVR Coupe and Convertible also get pumped up bodywork. The SVR has a deeper front bumper with larger air intakes, a new set of bonnet vents and a larger side skirt. There is a new front fender vent, rear diffuser and rear spoiler. The Geneva Motor Show 2016 cars wear [COLOUR] and [COLOUR].
