The Alpina B7 has been officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2016. Alpina are releasing the B7 in almost direct competition with the BMW M760Li across the hall. We took a closer look at the car on display at the stand.

The Alpina B7 gets the 4.4-litre V8 Bi-Turbo engine with 608 hp and 800 Nm of torque as opposed to the V12 of the M760Li. The twin-scroll turbochargers are Alpina’s own design and offer a more responsive feel, the cooling system has also received significant updates. All in, the B7 manages 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 310 km/h.

The Alpina B7 gets a bodykit with a characteristic Alpina from spoiler, new side sills, Alpina decals to the side, a rear bumper and rear lip spoiler. Twenty spoke classic Alpina 20 inch wheels are available together with a quad exhaust pipe.

Inside, the Lavalina leather interior can be customised to taste with other options including Nappa leather Piano lacquer and Myrtle Luxury Woods, among other options. Most of the other options revolve around the usual BMW options list.
