The Hyatt Hotel Group recently opened a Hyatt Regency hotel in Chinese city Changchun. It’s the first Hyatt hotel to open in China’s Jilin province, and the city’s first high-end business hotel opening in two decades.
Located in the heart of the city, Hyatt Regency Changchun offers easy access to the city’s abundance of gardens, parks and of course, Changchun’s important business district. The hotel is a 50-minute drive from Changchun Longjia International Airport, while only a 5-minute walk away from the city’s central People square, government offices and banks.
Interior design firm “Cap Atelier” have taken on the interior of the Hyatt Regency Changchun, incorporating myriad nature-inspired elements. Inspired by the culture of Northeastern China, the hotel’s ballroom features an interlacing of metal budding branches suspended from the ceiling, while the hotel’s lobby is decorated with steel-textured spheres.
Hyatt Regency Changchun has a total of 427 guest rooms, of which 66 are suites. The size of entry level guest rooms start at around 40 square meters, with the rooms being trimmed in a warm wooden décor.
The 66 suites span 75 to 225 square meters, being the absolute top-of-the-range guest accommodations of the city. Featuring separate living rooms and additional equipment such as high-end coffee machines, booking a suite also grants guests access to the Regency club lounge on the hotel’s 42nd floor.
Hyatt Regency Changchun also houses a large Wellness area, taking up the entire hotel’s 6th floor. The area includes a 25-meter heated swimming pool, a fitness center, whirlpool and outdoor lounging terrace.
The recently opened hotel also has plenty of in-house dining options to comfort their guests. On the lobby level there is a lounge room, offering guests comfort food and a place to relax and have a drink. There is also a small pastry shop, open all-day for guests to enjoy a quick sandwich or snack.
The hotel’s all-day dining venue is the Market Café, serving both Chinese and Italian dishes. Pin Yue is the hotel’s Chinese restaurant, an opportunity for guests to enjoy the extensive Chinese kitchen in style. An additional bar is to be opened later in 2016, promising to provide guests with a relaxing atmosphere and live music.
