The first Ferrari F60 America has been delivered to a client in Palm Beach this weekend. Ferrari of San Francisco sold one of the ten cars to a lucky US customer. He received his car at the Cavallino Classic event held this weekend at The Breakers, Palm Beach.

The Ferrari F60 America was released in October 2014 to celebrate Ferrari’s 60th year in North America. It seems that the project was put on hold for a while as it seems the first cars are only now reaching customers. The car is based upon the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and features Ferrari’s V12 powerplant.

The engine is the same 6.3-litre V12 engine as the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta with power increased to around 770 hp and 520 lb-ft of torque. It reaches 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.1 seconds.

The paint scheme is a nod to Luigi Chinetti’s North American Racing Team. This car adds a touch of red to the central white stripe. Chinetti was the first official Ferrari dealer in the US. The looks of the car are inspired by the 1967 Ferrari 275 GTS4 NART Spider.

Customers have paid up to $2.5 million for the privilege of purchasing the F60 America, making it more expensive than the LaFerrari!
