Ferrari’s first release for the Geneva Motor Show 2016 is the 2016 Ferrari California T Handling Speciale. The front-engined turbocharged supercar receives Ferrari’s famous handling treatment, improving performance and drivability.

Handling Speciale is in reality an optional extra. The 2016 Ferrari California T Handling Speciale will get specific calibrations to make the most out of the ride. The manettino’s Sport mode receives an overhaul with new damper settings and modified springs that make the car stiffer.

Although ride comfort will see some improvement, it is feedback and sensation where owners will really see the difference. A new engine sound has been programmed into the 2016 Ferrari California T Handling Speciale. The gear-shift mapping for the Sport mode has been modified for example, resulting in faster gear changes both on up and down-shifts.

Overall, the HS package includes 16% stiffer front springs and 19% stiffer rear springs. Dampers receive new mappings and a revised F1-Trac logic helps ensure better acceleration. The new sound is generated by a new exhaust system featuring two primary pipes and a new geometry, specifically designed with the exhaust note at the forefront.

To tell the 2016 Ferrari California T Handling Speciale apart on an aesthetic level, Ferrari include a new front grille in matte Grigio Ferro Met and a rear diffuser in the same colour with matte black fences and matte black tailpipes. A special plaque in the cockpit also displays the unique HS optional package.

The 2016 Ferrari California T Handling Speciale will be in display at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show 2016. It will be available to order in German markets at a cost of 6,902 euros inclusive of local taxes.
