BMW has announced the Competition Package for the M3 sedan and the coupe and convertible variants of the M4, which will see the power output of the vehicles increasing from 425 hp to 444 hp.

This means that all the three models will see their 0 to 60 mph time shrink by 0.1 seconds. Thus, the M3 and M4 coupe, when paired with the M-DCT gearbox, will be able to reach 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and the BMW M4 convertible will reach the same speed in 4.1 seconds.

The package also includes an extensively tuned Adaptive M Suspension, forged 20-inch M alloy wheels – first seen on the M4 GTS, a new sports exhaust system finished with chrome tailpipes and several chassis upgrades.

Inside, there will be special lightweight M sports seats and new seat belts, while the exterior will get the high-gloss Shadow Line exterior trim and blacked-out kidney grille, side gills, side window trim, window recess finishers and exterior mirror frames and bases.

The Competition Package will be available from spring of 2016 with a retail price of $5,500 on the M3 and M4 coupe and $5,000 on the M4 convertible.
