Audi used the Detroit Motor Show 2016 as the stage to show off a tweaked and massaged version of their bestselling model, the Audi A4.
The new A4, which will go on sale in Spring 2016 features a sharpened design as well as equally sharpened driving dynamics according to Audi. For the new A4, Audi is using a redeveloped version of the 2.0 TFSI engine used in previous generations. This new version, however, produces more horsepower than previous years with a total output of 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque.
Audi set out to design the new A4 as the benchmark by which all other luxury sedans are measured against. New technologies such as a lightweight aluminum-hybrid construction help the A4 achieve significant weight savings over previous generations.
The redeveloped engine the 2017 A4 boosts its stature to class-leader in terms of horsepower.
According to Audi, the redesigned A4 represents the bets in every detail from the company and exceeds the exceptional standards that have become synonymous with the four rings.
