The press days of the Detroit Motor Show 2016 commenced on 11 January but two days prior to it, The Gallery – an ultra luxury event that officially kicks off the auto show – was held.

The famed MGM Grand Detroit was chosen as the location for the ninth edition of The Gallery and exotic cars worth nearly $7 million, from makes like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Bentley and Rolls-Royce, were on display at the casino’s ballroom. Some of those included the Ferrari 488 GTB and FF, Porsche 911 Turbo, the Acura NSX, the Rolls-Royce Wraith, Dodge Viper, the Lamborghini Aventador SV, Lingenfelter Corvette Z06 and the BMW i8. Meanwhile, there were executives and designers from all the automakers interacting with the guests.

Apart from that, Wolfgang Puck, the world-renowned chef, served dinner in the Ignite Lounge and The Gallery also helped raise money for the Detroit Auto Dealers Association’s Charitable Foundation Fund.
