After revealing the interior and several design highlights during the exclusive 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class design preview late last year, Mercedes-Benz now officially presents us with an exterior design teaser of the new Mercedes-Benz E-class.

At the exclusive design preview of the interior and some exterior highlights, we had the opportunity to do a full walk around the car. However, the brand-new E-class was still heavily disguised trying to hide its new personality. Mercedes-Benz now released an official sketch of the new E-Class’ exterior, less than two weeks before its official launch at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show.

Judging from the sketch the car will feature rounder and less sharp edges and the car’s front appears to be similar to that of the new C-Class. We already knew that the new E-Class’ rear would be similar to that of both the C-Class and S-Class, especially in terms of lighting. We can now see that the same design trend was moved to the car’s front as well, just maintaining the E-Class signature ‘double eyebrow’ LED headlights.

Additionally the front bumper seems to be designed more aggressively, where the air-intake runs all the way from the left to the right. On the previous E-Class, this was shared over three different parts of the front bumper.
