Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann is soon exchanging his Italian office for a new office at Audi’s Quattro division in his homeland, Germany according to several Italian reports. Before taking command at the Italian supercar brand for a decade under supervision of the Volkswagen Group, Winkelmann gained experience at Fiat in Austria, Switzerland and Germany.

Former Ferrari Formula one team leader Stefano Domenicali has been mentioned to follow-up the German CEO of Lamborghini. Domenicali, who is currently employed at Audi after leaving Italian supercar manufacturer Ferrari late last year, lead the Ferrari Formula one team between 2007 and 2014.

Although Neckarsulm-based Quattro GmbH produces relatively high-end luxury and sports cars, it’s evident Winkelmann will be dealing with cars that are generally considered to be more mainstream than the Lamborghini supercars.
