The 2015 Lancaster Insurance Classic Car show once again rolled into Birmingham held at the NEC. Wheeler Dealers Mike Brewer and Ed China hosted live talks on the main stage and Sir Stirling Moss was also in attendance.

The show saw a record number of over 2500 cars and motorbikes on display. The main attraction of the event are the car clubs with the vast number of classic machinery on display throughout the 250 or so clubs. Amongst the car clubs were Porsche, Maserati, Bentley and Ferrari to name a few.

Graham Hill was paid tribute to this year, three of his cars were on display. The BRM P57 and P261 which both managed to secure the constructors and Drivers Championship. The third car on display was the Lotus 49B which won in 1967.

The Meguiars Club Showcase is always a highlight of the event. It is the tenth year at the show and their stand showcased a number of classic beauties. The cars ranged from a Jaguar XJ 5.3C, Ford Capri, Mercedes C180 and Renault 5 Turbo 2.

The Ferrari Owners club never fails to impress, not only was their a sea of red classic Ferrari’s but it also included the LaFerrari which highlights how Ferrari has evolved throughout the years.

Silverstone Auctions held their auction at the event and included a wide range of Cars both classic and modern in addition to Motorsport Memorabilia. A stunning Emerald Green Jaguar XJ220 previously owned by Brunei Royal Family sold for £315,000. A 1:18 scale model Mercedes Benz 300SLR ‘722’ 1955 Mille Miglia limited edition which was personally signed by Sir Stirling Moss and sold for £2000 for Hope for Tomorrow Charity.
