Bentley has become the latest automaker to announce a special ‘First Edition’ of one of its models, this time in the form of the luxurious Bentayga. Introduced at a private event at Los Angeles’ Sunset Marquis Hotel, the Bentayga First Edition will be limited to just 608 units.
That 608 unit figure denotes the metric power output of the range-topping Bentley Bentayga model, 608 PS. Distinguishing the Bentayga First Edition from the standard model will be a set of special 22-inch black and polished wheels as well as illuminated tread plates, Union Jack badging and the choice of ten colours.
In the cabin, the Bentayga First Edition model will be adorned with leather quilted seats with a ‘Diamond within Diamond’ design. Additionally there will be new contrast stitching and embroidery in the seats, a custom ambient lighting system and new metal and wooden details. Lucky customers of the Bentayga First Edition will also be offered one of three different Breitling watches.
Underpinning the car is the same twin-turbo 6.0-litre W12 engine of the regular model which as mentioned, delivers 608 PS (600 hp). Furthermore, it manages to deliver 663 lb-ft of torque allowing the luxurious British to accelerate to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and onto a record-setting 301 km/h top speed.
