Alongside the special carbon fibre bodied Ford Mustang unveiled by Ringbrorhers at SEMA 2015, the company has also revealed its ‘SPLITR’ Mustang Fastback.

When construction began of the car, the brothers heavily modified its bodywork by trimming the bottom of the front fenders while also extending the rocker panels forward. Additionally, the wheel arches have been flared by 1.5 inches at all four corners. A secondary floor pan has also been installed which provides the SPLITR Mustang with a completely flat undertray.

To make the car stand out further, it has been painted in a shade dubbed ‘Ford Race Red’ and topped off with a satin clear finish. A set of forged HRE wheels have also been installed (18” at the front and 19” at the rear) and wrapped in sticky Nitto Invo tyres measuring 265/35 and 305/35.

Beneath the skin, the car has been fitted with a 427 cubic inch V8 engine from Ford Racing. That engine has been installed with a bespoke aluminium and Lexan airbox as well as a potent new throttle body and MSD Atomic fuel injection. Coupled to the engine is a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels.

Other key elements of the car include the custom exhaust, large Baer brakes with 14-inch discs at the front and rear, adjustable coilovers and a refreshed interior.
