Porsche has announced a precautionary recall for almost 60,000 Macan S and Macan Turbo vehicles worldwide.

In total, 58,881 Macan models are affected of which 3641 reside in Germany. The issue revolves around a potential leak in the low-pressure fuel line inside the engine compartment. Porsche hasn’t reported on incidents involving a potential fuel line leak but if it were to leak, it would obviously increase the risk of a fire.

Porsche managed to identify the issue following a number of complaints and immediately resolved it on its production line.

As for the Macan S and Macan Turbo models already affected, owners will be contacted by their local Porsche dealership who will carry out the fix in about an hour and free of charge.
