While the McLaren 12C was replaced by the 650S unveiled early last year, the 12C still remains an absolute performance beast capable of taking on much more powerful and expensive supercars. In the U.S. recently, a tuned example from Vivid Racing went head-to-head with a Dodge Viper ACR and managed to comprehensively beat the Viper.
What makes this particular video exciting is that it is a 360-degree, fully-interactive clip which allows you to select your desired view during the race. This is the first time we’ve seen this technology used in a drag race and it certainly makes for a thrilling experience and is definitely the best thing after being in the passenger or driver seat.
This particular 12C has been installed with a complete aerodynamic bodykit from Vorsteiner including a new rear wing, carbon fibre side skirts and custom front and rear bumpers. It has also been fitted with Rotiform 3-piece forged wheels and a screaming Armytrix exhaust system.
