A selection of new spy shots of the next-generation BMW 5-Series Touring testing at the famed Nurburgring Nordschleife have just surfaced online. As with previous test mules, this prototype is adorned in heavy camouflage hiding most of its key styling elements.

As with the sedan, the next-gen BMW 5-Series will receive overhauled front and rear fascias. Consequently, it will include redesigned headlights, a slightly tweaked kidney front grille as well as a modified front bumper. Elsewhere, the new 5-Series range will inevitably be offered with a multitude of new wheel options to help set it apart from the outgoing car.

At the rear, redesigned taillights will be featured alongside a new bumper and lower skirt. The exhaust setup is also likely to be altered for the 2017 5-Series range both in sedan and estate guises.
