Second New York Four Seasons Hotel Coming in 2016

In 2016, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts is preparing to open its second luxury hotel in New York. Set to be dubbed Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown, it will join the company’s existing sister hotel in midtown.

The hotel will be located in Tribeca and within a brand new 82-story building at 30 Park Place. The building will house the 185 room hotel as well 157 private residences. The new building will actually be the tallest residential tower in Downtown Manhattan. There will also be a public plaza in the building while hotel guests will have access to a large spa and fitness facility, a new street level restaurant and bar concept as well as naturally-lit event spaces.

Discussing the upcoming hotel, industry expert Damon M Banks said “Though many will always choose to stay uptown regardless of the hotel options in Lower Manhattan, there is a large number of young and trendy affluent travellers who enjoy the feel and energy felt in the areas of Tribeca and SoHo.

“The Four Seasons hotel portion of this project should complement the 57th Street location nicely, providing New York guests with both an uptown and downtown Four Seasons hotel option.”
