A Volcano Red McLaren 12C Spider has been crashed in China after being T-boned by a Citroen sedan.

According to local media reports, the female driver of the mid-engined British supercar was performing a U-turn when the Citroen ran into it.

The issues were compounded by the fact that just prior to the crash while doing the U-turn, the 12C apparently accelerated suddenly providing the Citroen driver with very little time to react, police revealed.

Fortunately, the damage sustained to the 12C isn’t too bad with only the door, side skirt and rear wheel arch being scratched and dented. With that being said, the cost of replacing these three parts certainly won’t come cheap.
