BMW i8 Looks Ferocious as GT3 Racer

Next year, the BMW Z4 GT3 will be replaced by the M6 GT3 set to debut at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2015 next week. Despite the M6 GT3’s debut being imminent, a renderer has decided to imagine the BMW i8 hybrid sports car as a GT3 racer. As you’d expect with the car’s already eye-catching looks, it looks sensational as a racing car.

From the front, it is apparent that the BMW i8 GT3 pictured has been rendered with the same kidney front grille as the BMW M4. Also found up front is an intercooler and a carbon fibre splitter. Elsewhere, new air extractors are featured on the front wheel arches to help cool the tyres and brakes.

Other changes include racing wheels and tyres, extended side skirts and a towering rear wing. The car has also been adopted with a special silver livery incorporating the three colours of the German marque’s M division.
