Alfa Romeo has just released a number of new images and a video of the BMW M3-rivalling Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde. As the range-topping model of the Italian marque’s vitally-important mass-market vehicle, the Giulia, the car is vitally important for Alfa Romeo’s ongoing global launch.

From a visual standpoint, the Giulia QV features a design unlike any other Alfa Romeo yet it is still identifiable as a model from the company. This is largely because it features the firm’s trademark triangular front grille. Other key design elements of the potent Giulia QV model include the menacing front and rear bumpers as well as a carbon fibre bootlid lip spoiler.

The car features a Ferrari-derived 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine delivering 510 hp. When mated to a rear-wheel drive system as well as either a manual or automatic transmission, the Giulia QV will directly target the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63 range.

Interestingly, it has just been confirmed that the car will be available with an optional all-wheel drive system.
