Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts is preparing the launch of a new superyacht dubbed Alida with a delivery date set for March 2017. Alida is said to be the most advanced superyacht in the 55 meter class, offering unrivaled design from Bannerberg & Rowell. It’s a fast displacement type of yacht made of steel and aluminum, Heesen emphasizes that the designers are very generous with space.

Alida is the sister yacht to Azamanta – another project by Heesen Yachts. The design is so revolutionary that it’s free of pillars thereby allowing for unlimited panoramic ocean views. This is complemented by a 110 square meter sun deck with a sky lounge that is covered fully in glass. With a fleet of more than 170 yachts, the Dutch shipyard has the right experience and is definitely a trend setter in the industry.

The superyacht has a maximum speed of 16 knots while cruising at half load and at 14 knots it has a range of 4,500 nautical miles. It has a full beam master suite, one VIP cabin, two double cabins and two twin cabins. A total of 12 guests can be accommodated comfortably with all the luxury features in play.

Alida has a layout of four decks namely the sundeck, upper deck, main deck and the lower deck. The exterior design was commissioned to Omega Architects in conjunction with the Heesen Yachts in-house design team.
