Porsche has just released an awesome video of its GT models hitting the track at Porsche Leipzig. Currently, Porsche’s GT vision produces the 911 GT3, 911 GT3 RS, Cayman GT4 and the 911 GT3 racing car.
Of the three road-legal models produced by Porsche GT, the 2016 911 GT3 RS is the fastest. It is powered by a naturally-aspirated 4.0-litre six-cylinder engine delivering a total of 500 hp, the same as the 997.2-generation 911 GT3 RS 4.0. Unlike that car, the new model is available exclusively with a PDK transmission and has still managed to send the world’s automotive press into a buzz with its hard-edged focus.
Meanwhile, the 911 GT3 is powered by a smaller 3.8-litre six-cylinder engine but it is still immensely impressive. It pumps out a total of 475 hp and 349 lb-ft of torque and is brutally fast. The Cayman GT4 by comparison, features the 385 hp 3.8-litre engine from the 911 Carrera S. Unlike the GT3 and GT3 RS however, it is mid-engined and available with a manual transmission.
