The Glacier Express, billed as the “slowest express train in the world”, runs from St. Moritz to Zermatt in the Swiss Alps. It is not an express train when it comes to the speed at which it travels, but it does offer a one-seat ride for long duration travel.

The train takes a stop at Andermatt, which is about five hours away from St. Moritz. Two luxury hotels, the Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz and The Chedi in Andermatt, have collaborated to offer a special package to their guests called the “Glacier Express Special”. It will include a two-night stay at both the places and a trip from St. Moritz to Andermatt in a first-class carriage.

The journey to Andermatt will take one through pristine mountain scenery, across a variety of bridges and through remarkable tunnels. Before they embark upon the trip, the guests will spend two nights at a suite in the Carlton Hotel. There they will get a personal butler, WiFi facility and a CHF 100 ($104) food and beverage allowance per person.

Upon reaching Andermatt, they will take up abode at one of the Deluxe Suites at The Chedi. Breakfast will be complimentary and so will be the dinner on one of the two days. The price of the package starts at CHF 5240 ($5438) per suite and the offer is valid from 11 to 18 December 2015, 10 to 27 January 2016 and 22 February to 27 March 2016. Also included in the package is the use of both hotels’ wellness facilities, drinks from the minibar and a 24-hour Bentley limousine service.
