Cate Blanchett’s prized eco-estate in Sydney is currently up for sale and is expected to fetch the equivalent of around $17.4 million USD at auction.

The Golden Globe-winning Australian actress purchased the property in 2005. It was originally built in 1877 but under the ownership of Blanchett was completely overhauled thanks to Alwill Design and Lesiuk Architects.

Dubbed Bulwarra, the house features five large bedrooms and a private master suite. Four of the bedrooms have their own decks and all face north. The house also includes a large swimming pool and pavilion overlooking the water as well as a floating black staircase which really captures the eye.
