Video: Alfa Romeo Giulia QV Tests at the Nurburgring!

A heavily disguised prototype of the recently revealed Alfa Romeo Giulia QV has been filmed undergoing high-speed testing at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. This prototype gives us our first chance to see and hear the Giulia QV in action outside of Alfa Romeo’s selection of recent trailers and promos for the Italian performance sedan.

Powering the range-topping Giulia QV is a Ferrari-derived 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine delivering 510 hp. When mated to a rear-wheel drive system as well as either a manual or automatic transmission, the Giulia QV will directly target the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63 range.

Based on the audio of the following video, we’re inclined to say that the Giulia QV sounds just as nice as both the BMW M3/M4 and Mercedes-AMG C63.
