The first official image of the 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe has just been released before the vehicle’s imminent debut. It shows the C63 Coupe posing alongside a lesser C-Class Coupe model from the range prior to the vehicle’s respective debuts at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2015.
The image provides a perfect comparison between the two cars. For starters, the new Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe unsurprisingly features a more aggressive front fascia than the C-Class Coupe. For example, the grille has been refined and now features black mesh. Elsewhere, a blacked-out splitter is visible alongside more aggressive air intake surrounds.
Elsewhere, we can see that the C63 Coupe includes a very bold bonnet with eye-catching lines. Other visible differences include a set of matte black wheels, gold brake calipers, black wing mirrors as well as darker tinted windows.
Obviously powering the C63 Coupe will be the same 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine as the sedan and estate models. Consequently, it should deliver an equal 469 hp. Alongside the standard model, the range-topping ‘S’ variant will feature the same engine but be uprated to 503 hp.
