With 707 hp on tap, no one could ever call the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat underpowered. As a matter of fact, it is the world’s most powerful production muscle car and delivers more power than a multitude of significantly more expensive supercars. In typical Hennessey Performance fashion however, the American tuner has just previewed its HPE800 upgrade for the car.

As the name of the HPE800 package implies, it bumps up power from the 6.2-litre supercharged V8 engine to a little over 800 hp – 805 to be exact – at 6200 rpm. That additional power has been achieved thanks to a brand new ECU, upgraded tuning software, high flow air filter, lower pulley upgrade (increasing boost by 1-2 psi) and a port matched throttle body.
Alongside these engine modifications, Hennessey’s HPE800 kit for the Challenger SRT Hellcat includes Hennessey embroidered head rests, Hennessey badging, HPE800 emblems, a serial numbered dash plaque and a serial number engine plaque.
