At the special 24 Hours of Ford event at the Jarama circuit in Madrid recently, the American marque’s brand new 2016 GT supercar turned heads unlike any other car there.
If for some reason you didn’t know, the 2016 Ford GT features a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine promising to deliver over 600 hp. While final horsepower and torque figures have yet to be released, the new engine is guaranteed to provide significantly more performance than the 5.4-litre supercharged V8 of the previous-generation Ford GT.
The new Ford GT’s engine has dual fuel-injection and is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle transmission driving the rear wheels.
Beyond the Ford GT, a European-spec Mustang GT fastback was also displayed as were a selection of Ford Focus ST models.
