The petrol motor produces 770 bhp and 960 Nm of torque, allowing the car to sprint form 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels of the car via a 6-speed sequential or a 7-speed PDK gearbox. The top-speed is electronically limited to 395 km/h.
“It is an honor for us to be featured in this Hollywood blockbuster and to have been part of the team who have worked very hard to pay tribute to the late Paul Walker. The whole adventure has been thrilling from the start and we are gaining tremendous exposure and international recognition since the release,” said Ralph R Debbas, Chairman and CEO of W Motors Company.
Apart from having an incredibly powerful engine and exquisite exterior design, the Lykan exhibits a range of enthralling features. The LED headlights of the car have diamonds encrusted into them- 420 in total, weighting 15 carat. Moreover, the car has reverse mechanical door system, an interactive ID4 Motion dashboard and “an exclusive watch specially designed by Franck Muller Geneva” for the Lykan customers. Not to forget, owners of this elegant car will get 24-hour on-demand service.
“A team of qualified W engineers will fly to anywhere in the world to service your Hypercar or to help with any problem you might encounter with the Lykan at any given time,” W Motors write on their website.
While only a selected few individuals will purchase the car, the Lykan HyperSport is a masterwork by W Motors, who are looking to expand their presence over the coming years. Having already moved its headquarters to the Middle East, the company is planning to shift its assembling and production facilities to UAE from Torino, Italy. It is also in the process of signing partnerships with local distributors to open W Motors boutiques in various cities across the globe.
