Formula Drift Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. is offering one lucky fan a prize trip to The SEMA Show in Vegas where he will personally hand over the keys to a 2015 Mustang RTR.
RTR has rapidly become one of the most popular brands since its creation by Vaughn Gittin Jr. in 2009, with its wild project builds and performance packages for the Ford Mustang.
Helping to shape the 2015 Mustang RTR in tune with RTR’s out-of-the-box styling and functional approach to performance, was the Mustang RTR Spec 5 Concept that gives a taste of the work put into this prize car.
Not only built for pure fun, the Spec 5 serves as a research and development tool under president and founder Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s right foot and prowess behind the wheel, resulting in the “RTR Tactical Performance Line” of parts by RTR for the serious enthusiast.
The drifting king said: “In addition to launching our 2015 Mustang RTR, we wanted to do something over-the-top that highlighted our commitment to untraditional aggressive-styling and performance. Something that from a distance had the feeling of an OEM concept car, but at a closer look clearly shows that there is much more.”
The Mustang RTR Spec 5 Concept was a collaborative effort by Mustang RTR, MA-Motorsports, and ASD Motorsports, featuring a Ford Racing combination of 5.0 Aluminator XS, close ratio 6-speed transmission and control pack, plus American Racing headers, Magnaflow custom racing muffler, Driveshaft Shop 9inch conversion with 4:56 gears and aluminium driveshaft and axles, Bosch 044 Fuel pump and Revolution Automotive custom tune.
The chassis has ASD Motorsports custom front lower control arms, custom coilovers, Nitto NT05 Tyres on RTR by HRE Tech 7 3-piece wheels (20×10 front, 20×11 rear) under RTR Spec 5 wide flare panels (50mm front, 75mm rear), and RTR chin spoiler with carbon splitter, upper grill with integrated lighting, RTR rocker splitter, RTR rear diffuser, RTR rear spoiler with Gurney lips and RTR composite hood, fenders, doors and rear decklid.
