The insane Nissan GT-R from Extreme Turbo Systems (ETS) delivering in excess of 2000 hp has just become the world’s quickest R35-generation GT-R in the quarter mile beating out the famous Alpha Omega GT-R from AMS Performance.

During a run at the recent TX2K15 event, the ETS Nissan GT-R managed to set a truly insane 7.49 second quarter mile at 300 km/h (186 mph). To put that time into perspective, the best quarter mile sprint recorded by the Alpha Omega GT-R is 7.7 seconds while the ETS GT-R’s previous best time was 7.80 seconds at 292.9 km/h.

Interestingly, this is the second time that the ETS GT-R has snatched the world quarter mile record from the Alpha Omega GT-R. Consequently, we expect AMS Performance to respond quickly in an attempt to reclaim the title. After all, the Alpha Omega GT-R was the first R35 to break the 10-second, 9-second and 8-second quarter mile brackets.
