The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe is set to launch at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2015 this coming September. Additionally, range-topping Mercedes-AMG C63 and C63 S variants will arrive soon after Frankfurt wraps up.

When the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe launches, it will become the third C-Class variant after the sedan and estate. The C-Class range will then get bigger than ever before with a convertible due to arrive after the Coupe.

While speaking with Autocar about the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe, the German firm’s design chief Gorden Wagener said its design will be even sleeker than that of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe. Additionally, it will also apparently have a “more beautiful design”.

A recently spied C-Class Coupe prototype revealed that the car will draw heavily on the rear-end of the S-Class Coupe for its design. As such, an integrated rear spoiler will give way to thin, sophisticated tail lights and an angled trunk. Interior styling will carry over from the standard C-Class sedan, with a three-spoke steering wheel and free-standing infotainment system.

As with previous generations of the C-Class Coupe, engine options are expected to carry over from the C-Class sedan. Engine options include a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 with 329 hp or a smaller, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 241 hp.
