Seven Seat BMW 2-Series Family Tourer Spied

BMW 2-Series Family Tourer

New spyshots of the upcoming seven-seat BMW 2-Series Active Tourer which is likely to be rebranded as the 2-Series Family Tourer have emerged. The new car will essentially be an expanded variant of the existing BMW 2-Series Active Tourer.

With that in mind, the German marque has added two additional small seats in the rear of the car making it a seven-seater. Just like the updated BMW X5 which can be ordered with two extra seats in the boot however, it seems apparent that the two additional seats of the BMW 2-Series Family Tourer will only be large enough for small children.

Beyond the slight expansion, the 2-Series Family Tourer should remain identical to the 2-Series Active Tourer. As a result, it is speculated to be available with the same selection of engines ranging from the entry-level 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines through to the range-topping 2.-litre B48 motor powering the 225i and delivering 231 hp.
