Porsche Boxster RS

Late last year, spy shots emerged of a potential Porsche Boxster GT4 prototype. Now more images of the test mule have emerged alongside the suggestion that the car could instead by dubbed the Porsche Boxster RS.

Like recent Porsche Cayman GT4 test mules, this Boxster tester features the same front end incorporating a more prominent splitter as well as enlarged air intakes. Additionally, the car is fitted with beefed up wheels and tyres, upgraded drilled brake discs and bright red brake calipers.

Furthermore, this Porsche Boxster RS prototype has been fitted with a large bootlid lip spoiler to further distinguish it from other Boxster variations.

As it stands, the most potent Boxster available is the Porsche Boxster GTS which delivers 340 hp and 370 Nm of torque. By comparison, the Boxster RS is expected to utilise the same upgraded engine as the Cayman GT4 and could consequently deliver around 450 hp.
