Another prototype of the upcoming 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLE63 AMG Coupe has been spied testing under minimal camouflage with this particular example finished in a stunning shade of gloss black.

At the front, this GLE test mule can be differentiated from other non-AMG ones as its front fascia is notably more aggressive with larger air intakes also featuring. Additionally, a menacing single bar grille is featured as is a bonnet incorporating air extractors at the rear. Elsewhere, this Mercedes-Benz GLE63 AMG Coupe prototype is rolling on a set of new AMG wheels while at the rear, it features the typical AMG quad exhaust pipe setup as well as taillights clearly inspired by those from the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe.

Beneath the skin, the Mercedes-Benz GLE63 AMG Coupe apparently won’t be powered by the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 which recently debuted on the new AMG GT and C63 models. Instead, reports suggest that the firm’s outgoing 5.5-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine will be maintained and if that is the case, expect power to rise to the 550 hp mark to adequately compete with the 567 hp BMW X6 M.
