A small Canadian firm dubbed Dubuc Motors has just previewed its upcoming electric sports car dubbed the Tomahawk and set to arrive on the streets in 2016.
The Tomahawk is a kit car which was initially revealed at the Montreal Auto Show 2014 in January. While specific details about the electric powertrain remain fuzzy, Dubuc claims that it will rocket to 96 km/h (60 mph) in a brisk 3 seconds as well as a top speed of 225 km/h. Despite such impressive performance, the Dubuc Tomahawk will reportedly feature a range of 442 km.
Discussing the car and as well as possible investors, Dubuc Motors co-founder and chief operating officer Mike Kakogianniakis said, “We are at the forefront of something huge! Millions of dollars in grants from the government are available, it’s the perfect time to invest.”
