McLaren has just released pictures and details about a special McLaren 650S Spider from McLaren Special Operations (MSO) as well as a P1 by MSO before they are revealed publically at the upcoming Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
As for the special P1, it was commissioned by a North American customer and is finished in a stunning shade called Stirling Grey. This paint features a rich metallic finish along with carbon fibre adorning many of the advanced aerodynamic components across the exterior. Elsewhere, it features some orange accents with the McLaren logo at the front orange, the massive brake calipers in orange as well as a special orange P1 logo on the leading edge of the British hypercar.
At the rear, 24 carat gold heatshields are featured around the engine bay and the Inconel exhaust system. Further orange detailing can be found at the rear with the rear wing pistons coloured like that to ensure they stand out.
Inside, this McLaren P1 by MSO features a bespoke MSO steering wheel, McLaren Orange accents on the centre console as well as satin nickel finished air vents.
As for the special McLaren 650S Spider by MSO, it comes courtesy of McLaren Newport Beach and McLaren Automotive Design Director Frank Stephenson. It is finished in Cerulean Blue which includes a heavy flake. It also features carbon fibre detailing across the front bumper, side air intakes as well as large portions of the rear end and MSO rear diffuser. It is rolling on special 10-spoke lightweight alloy wheels.
