BMW Outsells Mercedes-Benz in U.S. For 2014

BMW has managed to beat Mercedes-Benz for sales in the United States from the start of the year to now.

In total, BMW managed to sell 157,382 vehicles while Mercedes-Benz sold 151,624. As a result, figures for both companies reached record highs with BMW sales increasing by 12.1 per cent from the same time period of 2013.

While discussing the results, President and CEO of BMW North American Ludwig Willisch said, “The June and first-half results prove again that customer demand is solid and stronger than many have thought and we fully expect confidence and demand to stay strong through the end of the year.

I am particularly pleased with the results for our 2 and 4 Series models; these are driving machines at the core of the BMW brand,” he said.
