The Ferrari 458 Speciale has finally hits the road of Malaysia nine months after it was unveiled at Frankfurt Motor Show last year. The starting price of the 458 Speciale in Malaysia is RM 1,238,800.00 before duty with a one year waiting list set starting from the moment of booking.
Ferrari had marked down a success of selling nearly 5000 units of 458 Italia and Spider respectively and consequently decided it was time they launched the track focused and more powerful generation of 458 in the form of the 458 Speciale.
The 458 Speciale which was built with more carbon fibre and lightweight materials which means it is lighter than the Italia by 102 kg. The mid-mounted engine is a screaming 4.5-litre V8 unit delivering 597 hp and 540 Nm of torque and resulting in a 0-100 km/h sprint of around 3 seconds. The 458 Speciale also has active aerodynamics designed by Ferrari Styling Centre in cooperation with Pininfarina (front and rear movable aerodynamics which balance downforce and cut drag).
