Tour Auto Rally 2014 is finishing as we write. The annual event has now entered its 23rd year, taking place between April 7th to 12th. It attracts some of the most expensive and unique classic cars which took part in the historic Tour de France Automobile rally between 1951 and 1973.

This year’s Tour Auto Rally 2014 started on Monday 7th April at the Grand Palais, Paris for Scrutineering and Administrative checks. Day One took the teams from Paris to Dijon and the Dijon-Prenois circuit. Day Two saw the cars travel from Dijon to Mulhouse and the Anneau du Rhin circuit. Day Three was Mulhouse to Aix-Les-Bains and the La Bresse circuit. Yesterday the cars travelled to Valance and today, the event climaxed in Marseille via the Paul Ricard circuit.

Thankfully, J. Ezekyel, a GTspirit reader was able to capture some pictures for us on Thursday at Mulhouse. The selection of cars is simply breathtaking.

The entries are split into two categories; “competition” and “regularity”. The competition category includes at least three Mercedes-Benz SL300 Gullwings, an Aston Martin DB4 GT, a Ferrari 250 GT Breadvan; even an ultra-rare Porsche 906!

The regularity category is just as interesting with cars ranging from a Ferrari 250 GT Lusso to more run of the mill classics such as the Triumph TR3A and the Morris Cooper S!
