Following the recent official debut for the brand new 2014 Porsche Boxster GTS, the official video for this exciting sports car has just been revealed!
Beneath the body, both the Boxster GTS as well as the Cayman GTS feature the 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine currently used in both the Boxster S and Cayman S. However, they have now been tuned to deliver an impressive 15 hp extra resulting in the Boxster GTS delivering 330 hp while the Cayman GTS produces a touch more at 340 hp. Torque has also risen by 10 Nm for each. With the Sport Chrono package standard for both models and when combined with the optional PDK transmission, the 2014 Porsche Boxster GTS hits 100 km/h from zero in just 4.7 seconds while the Cayman GTS is a tenth of a second faster to the same mark.
Importantly, both models are available standard with six-speed manual transmissions. When equipped with this gearbox, the Boxster GTS hits a top speed of 281 km/h while the Cayman GTS hits 285 km/h. Despite the extra performance and power, when optioned with the PDK gearbox, both return impressive overall fuel consumption of just 8.2-liters per 100 km.
Visually, both the 2014 Porsche Cayman GTS and Boxster GTS feature a much more aggressive front bumper with prominent darkened air intakes surrounds and lower front splitter with GTS decals being found on the sides. At the rear, both come with bootlid spoilers, dual centrally exiting exhaust pipes and more aggressive rear diffusers alongside tinted taillights.
