The ABT Golf VII GTI Dark Edition has been officially unveiled ahead of the Geneva Motor Show 2014. The ABT Golf VII GTI Dark Edition is a bespoke ABT project based upon the latest generation Volkswagen Golf GTI.
The ABT Golf VII GTI Dark Edition features a unique ABT bodykit. It includes a new front spoiler, a front grille, a set of ABT headlight covers, side skirts, a rear skirt insert, a trunk lid attachment and a set of mirror caps. To finish the look, the car has been fitted with darker taillights and an decal set.
The engine, a 2.0 TFSI unit, comes equipped with a set of power upgrades. It gets a Volkswagen Golf R-rivalling 300 hp with a 258 km/h top speed and a 0-100 km/h time of 5.8 seconds. The ABT Golf VII GTI Dark Edition gets an ABT suspension update and five-spoke, 21 inch ABT CR wheels wrapped in 235/30 R20 rubber.
