Trying to accurately envisage how cars will look in 10 years’ time is extremely difficult. With that being said, in the past 10 years, most cars, particularly supercars haven’t changed visually in an evolutionary sense and more so as revolution after revolution. Take the Lamborghini Murcielago and Lamborghini Aventador for example.
Separated by almost exactly 10 years, the two cars do indeed look very different. However, the overall shape and size is similar with the Aventador simply featuring revised body panels which are much more aggressive. In order to give us a glimpse as to what a Lamborghini supercar could look like in ten years’ time, designer Thomas Granjard has put together the following renderings of what he dubs the 2023 Lamborghini Diamante Concept.
From a visual standpoint, the Lamborghini Diamante further explores the sharp and aggressive lines of the Aventador and combines them with design elements from the Lamborghini Veneno as well as a similar rear wing to the one found on the GT by Citroen Concept from a few years back. While in paper, this may not sound all that impressive, when you look at the images your mind will be rightfully blown!
All in all, Granjard’s Lamborghini Diamante Concept looks extremely impressive and we certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see Lamborghini’s range-topping supercar in ten years’ time looking similar this!
