Following the recent launch of the 2014 Porsche Macan at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2013, Porsche has launched the official online configurator for the affordable SUV!
As it stands, the Porsche Macan configurator only allows you to spec out the Macan S and Macan Turbo as these are the only models to have been launched thus far. The range-topping Macan Turbo has a base price of $72,300 and a destination charge of $1,195. However, when you begin ticking a few options, that price skyrockets.
One of the most expensive options is Aurum Metallic paint which costs $3,120. When trying to spec out the 2014 Porsche Macan to the highest possible level, we came up with $37,905 in optional extras bringing the total to $111,400!
As a reminder, the 2014 Porsche Macan Turbo features a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine producing 400 hp at 6000 rpm. This power has been achieved thanks to the turbochargers running boost pressure of 17.4 psi. Consequently, the SUV will sprint from 0 to 96 km/h in just 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 263 km/h. When it is equipped with the Sport Chrono package the 0-96 km/h sprint drops to 4.4 seconds. Just like the standard Macan S, the Macan Turbo is fitted standard with the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission.
