Driving under the influence is a bad idea. A 2012 Tesla Model S was recently crashed in Murfreesboro, Tennessee for that very reason as the 34-year-old female driver was charged with her first offense of DUI at the scene.
No official cause for the crash is known, but the driver claimed she was messing with the radio before spearing off road, hitting a utility pole and coming to a rest of a grassy ditch next to the road. The 2012 Tesla Model S involved in the crash is reportedly the only one of its kind in Rutherford County.
