Audi TTS Competition Special Edition

Audi, having produced the 500,000th Audi TT recently, announced the Audi TTS Competition Special Edition today. The Audi TT has been the staple sports coupe of the Audi range for quite a while now. It remains as popular now as it was at launch back in 1998. Audi will produce 500 Audi TTS Competition Special Edition’s with both Coupé and Roadster versions being made available.

Perhaps the most distinguishing feature is the exclusive paint finishes, Imola yellow or Nimbus gray. Each car will also receive a fixed rear wing with bars in a matt aluminum-look finish, convertibles will get either black or gray hoods.

Inside, each car gets an Impulse leather package finished in steel gray. The cut leather edges are dyed in Imola yellow with matching contrasting stitching. The aluminum badges on the door trims are embossed with “1 of 500”, just incase the driver forgets the cars special designation.

The competition package is just 1,900 euros over the price of the standard TTS. Options include a rear parking monitor, a leather multifunction steering wheel, xenon plus headlights and Audi magnetic ride damper control system.

Under the bonnet you get the familiar 2.0 litre TFSI engine packed with 272 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Coupled to a six-speed S tronic, it accelerates the Coupé from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds with the manual following in 5.5 seconds. For now, we have to assume that the Competition Package will be available worldwide.
