Bentley has big plans for the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed — as they get set to unveil their much anticipated Continental GT3 racer.

In the run-up to the unveiling, Bentley have released a teaser video showcasing the mighty Continental before its unveiling on July 12th. The GT3 edition of the Continental is (obviously) not road legal, coming with a full carbon fiber body and stripped out, weight-saving interior. Aerodynamic tweaks range from a revised front fascia and bumpers to a rather large carbon fiber rear wing. Race-prepped suspension rounds out the package, giving the Continental a properly aggressive stance — a far cry from its road going counterpart, that’s for sure.

The Continental GT3 is fully FIA compliant and as such customers (and factory?) can enter the car into any series that recognizes FIA certification.

The car is powered by the same 4.0 liter V8 that is in the road car, albeit with a lot of tweaks in order to produce enough horsepower to competitive against the likes of Ferrari, Porsche and BMW — all established makes the car is bound to see once it enters competition.

We will keep you updated as we get closer to the reveal of the Continental GT3 at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
