Spyshots: Porsche Macan Spotted Testing in the U.S

The upcoming 2014 Porsche Macan SUV was recently spied testing yet again, this time undergoing hot weather testing in the U.S. While undergoing testing, spy images of the 2014 Porsche Macan’s interior were also snapped.

The following images show that the 2014 Porsche Macan shares many of its styling characteristics with the larger Porsche Cayenne meaning it looks almost identical albeit in a slightly smaller form. Some of the notable styling characteristics of the new 2014 Porsche Macan include a wide and rather low stance as well as a heavily raked windscreen and sloping roofline.

The 2014 Porsche Macan is built around Volkswagen’s MLB platform which will also be used in the next-generation Audi A5 in the coming years. When it’s released, the Porsche Macan is expected to be offered in a range of different variants ranging from two four-cylinder models with the base diesel four-cylinder predicted to pump out 190hp from its small 2.0-liter, turbocharged capacity.

The 2014 Porsche Macan will also be offered with a 295hp 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 250hp 3.0-liter V6 diesel pinned to power the Porsche Macan Diesel S. Topping out the Porsche Macan line-up will be a twin-turbocharged V6 engine producing around 370hp and 400lb-ft of torque.

A production version of the Porsche Macan is expected to be released in October.
