Villa d'Este 2013: Touring Superleggera Disco Volante

While attending the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2013, GTspirit was able to capture the following awesome gallery of the production spec Touring Superleggera Disco Volante.

First unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2012 as a concept car, the Touring Superleggera Disco Volante premiered at the Geneva Motor Show 2013 in production spec and is based off the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione.

Due to these underpinnings, the Touring Superleggera Disco Volante is predicted to come with a very similar V8 engine as the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione and is therefore predicted to produce around 450hp and 480Nm of torque at 4,750rpm.

Rather than a manual gearbox, Touring Superleggera have opted for an electro-actuated 6-speed sequential shift box meaning 100km/h should be achieved in just over 4 seconds and a top speed in the range of 292km/h. These performance figures are very similar to those produced by the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione.

No details have been released in terms of pricing, but expect a price well north of $100,000. The Touring Superleggera Disco Volante is currently made to order and will be limited to just a handful of units.
