When Chevrolet first released the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray around six months ago, it was announced that the base Corvette C7 would feature a 6.2-liter V8 LT1 engine producing 450hp and 450lb-ft of torque.
However, those claimed figures were just estimates and now Chevrolet has finally announced that the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe now produces 455hp and 460lb-ft of torque, 5hp and 10lb-ft of torque higher than previously estimated.
The information was leaked thanks to the release of an official brochure outlining some of the key aspects to the new generation Chevrolet Corvette.
However, if the following images are to be believed, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will ‘only’ pump out 450hp and 450lb-ft of torque.
On top of this impressive new-generation powerplant, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray also features a perfect 50/50 weight distribution.
As a refresher, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray maintains the car’s rear-wheel drive setup which is now mated with a manual transmission featuring Active Rev Match.
